Tessa Posthuma de Boer was born in Amsterdam in 1968.
She studied photography at The Hoge School voor de kunsten
in Utrecht (1988-1989) and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie
in Amsterdam (1989-1993).
She recieved a startstipendium from Het fonds voor
beeldende kunsten, vormgeving en bouwkunst in 1994.
Tessa works and lives in Amsterdam

She started working as a portraitphotographer for several
newspapers,magazines and advertising agencies
(among others: De Volkskrant,Ajax, Rabobank. MarieClaire,
Partij van de Arbeid, Opzij, KRO Studio,M Magazine, AD Magazine,
Budget, Fiat, Belastingdienst, Home&Farden,
Man of all seasons, PTTPost and many more).

She published several books .

Her autonomous work was shown at exhibitions in
the Netherlands and abroad, among others:
